Ashley entered the dog world in 1976 showing Old English Sheepdogs and Collies.
Since this time his main focus has been Tibetan Terriers and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels,
winning multiple Best in Shows and breeding many champions, Grand Champions
and Best in Show winners under the "Aryed" Prefix.

Ashley also breeds Miniature Pinschers under the "Khanrae" Prefix.
Champions carrying this prefix number in excess of 60 including many
All Breed and Specialty Best In Show winners.

Ashley has handled breeds in all seven groups with success including winning Group awards at Melbourne,
Adelaide, Canberra, Brisbane, Hobart and Launceston Royals, also winning the ultimate of BIS at Adelaide Royal.
Breeds that have won these awards at Royals include Tibetan Terriers, Miniature Pinschers,
Pekingese, Welsh Corgi Pembroke, Afghan, Boxer, Portuguese Water Dog, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Ashley is licensed to judge the Toy, Working Dog, Gundog, and Non Sporting group at Championship level,
and the Terrier Group, Hound Group, Utility Group and Best In Show at Open Show level
