After twenty five years of showing Bullterriers in Group two I decided to make the transition into Group one showing Papillons.
The first step of course was to purchase a good quality Papillon from a knowledgeable and ethical breeder
which fortunately I was able to do from Barbara Stahl of Starblaze Kennels.

Handling and showing a different breed proved to be more complicated than I first expected.
Although I now had a potential show dog I needed the expertise of an experienced handler to teach me
how to present and show my dog in the best way possible.

Fortunately I enrolled in Ashley Reid’s Show Handling Classes where I not only learnt how to refine my handling to
particularly enhance my own dog but gained a much better understanding of presentation and handling in general.
Giving me confidence in my own ability which I believe has played a part in my success in the show ring.

It is without hesitation I recommend to anyone who is struggling with a new breed or entering into the show ring
for the first time to enroll in Ashley’s Classes and take advantage of his vast knowledge and professional approach to the show ring.
